Cyklohráček – Toy Train  an unusual excursion train from Prague to Okoř and to Slané
21.3. 2026 – 01.11 2026 from 8:52 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (from the Main Raiway Station 1x a day, from Smíchov Railway station 2x a day, see the timetable here)

Due to the ongoing reconstruction of Prague’s Smíchov Railway Station, only the morning Cyklohráček train will depart from Prague Main Railway Station during this season and return there again in the evening. The midday turnaround service will begin and end at Praha-Smíchov Railway Station.

A Train Full of Surprises!
Unlike an ordinary train, Cyklohráček is a true wonderland on wheels. The carriages have been transformed into a colorful playground, filled with games, toys, and interactive activities that keep young travelers entertained throughout the ride. One car is packed with building blocks, another has board games and drawing supplies, and yet another is perfect for resting and enjoying the scenic views. Even the seats and walls are decorated with playful themes, making it feel like you’ve entered a fairy tale on rails!

Scenic Route Through Fairy-Tale Landscapes
This isn’t just any train ride—it’s a spectacular journey through some of the most picturesque landscapes near Prague. You’ll pass through the breathtaking Pražský Semmering railway, known for its stunning viaducts and views, and travel through the charming countryside of Okoř Castle ruins and Zákolanské Valley. Along the way, families can hop off for fun excursions, like visiting the Zoopark Zájezd or exploring the ancient rotunda of St. Peter and Paul in Budeč, the oldest preserved structure in the Czech Republic.

Meet the “Hrajvedoucí” – Your Onboard Play Leaders!
On Cyklohráček, the fun never stops! While the train conductor ensures a smooth journey, a team of enthusiastic play leaders, known as "hrajvedoucí," is there to keep the kids entertained. They organize interactive games, offer souvenirs like stamped toy tickets, and hand out cyclist-friendly gifts like reflective bands or maps. Got a question about the best family-friendly stop? The hrajvedoucí are happy to help!

Easy and Affordable Travel
No special tickets are needed! The Cyklohráček operates under standard Prague Integrated Transport (PID), Czech Railways (ČD), and OneTicket fares. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early for the best spots!
