Novoměstská radnice - New Town Hall

Located in the heart of Prague on Charles Square in Prague 1, the tower of Novoměstská radnice invites visitors to enjoy one of the city’s most impressive panoramic views from 20 March 2026 until 14 December 2026. During the tour, guests climb the historic tower and discover breathtaking vistas of Prague Castle, the Vltava River, the Old and New Town, and the surrounding Prague skyline. Along the way, visitors can explore the former apartment of the tower keeper beneath the gallery, which today houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of New Town, the New Town Hall, and Charles Square, including reproductions of the oldest panoramas of Prague from the archives of the Prague City Museum. The tour also includes temporary exhibitions of photography and unusual artworks in the Tower Gallery, as well as a glimpse into the chapel on the first floor. Thanks to its exceptional central location and unique perspective above the city, the tower offers one of the most memorable viewpoints in Prague.

Founded in the 14th century during the reign of King Charles IV, the New Town Hall is one of Prague’s most important Gothic landmarks. The tower itself once served as an important watchtower over the city, where the tower keeper warned citizens of danger by ringing the bell. Today, the tower offers visitors not only spectacular views but also a fascinating journey through Prague’s history. At the tower ticket office, guests can browse the current programme of exhibitions, concerts, and cultural events taking place at the venue, while collectors can also purchase tourist souvenirs, postcards, and special memorabilia inspired by the tower.

Please note that the tower does not have a lift, and the ascent from the third floor continues via historic wooden staircases and original railings. For safety and comfort, visitors are advised to climb carefully, while group visits are limited to a maximum of 20 people at a time. Price is 100 CZK (around 4 EUR), with reduced tickets available for children, students, and seniors.

Come and experience the unique atmosphere of New Town Hall and discover Prague from a truly unforgettable perspective. Whether you are a history enthusiast, photography lover, or simply searching for one of the best views in Prague, the tower tours offer a memorable experience right in the very centre of the city.
