Il Mulino restaurant brings a new term to Prague’s gastronomic scene: APERITIVO. The aperitivo is redolent of Italy just like pasta or pizza. Traditionally is it served between 6 and 9 pm in selected bars and restaurants. If you order a drink during this time you will also get a light courtesy snack. It is a very popular way of meeting up with friends before dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. And now you can enjoy it in the center of Prague too.

In Il Mulino they serve aperitivo between 4 and 7 pm and customers receive complimentary food. The offer typically includes bruschetta with tomatoes, croissants with ham and cheese, pieces of pizza, dried tomatoes, artichokes, olives, as well as selected cheese and salami – even the famous Salame Fellino from the Italian town of the same name. Il Mulino imports most of the ingredients straight from Italian farm companies, such as Fattoria Rossi di Montecavolo. Cheese and salami are regularly on display behind the counter in the restaurant and you can order them as an appetizer too or buy them to take home.

Il Mulino Praga
This restaurant in Prague 1 - located near Old Town Square and right next to the Estates Theatre - is relatively new, having opened just under a year ago. However the owners are no freshmen. In the past they were behind successful venues such as Luna di Note, La Vita è Bella and Pepe Nero which is still open today. The management and kitchen staff are almost entirely Italian, which guarantees uncompromising authenticity.

That is really the key because Il Mulino's offer is based on genuine Italian cuisine: fresh fish, pizza and home made pasta, as well as desserts from their own Italian confectioner. The menu and wine list represent the best across Italy. However, one region is in special focus – Sardinia. One of the restaurateurs owns a vineyard there, thus the wine list includes wines from that area which are not so well known.

This Italian venue is popular not only among Italians living in Prague, but also parents with kids. The retaurant has access to a public pool which is often visited by mothers with kids, and there is a nice kids corner too. The place can be easily entered with a baby carriage and the ground floor of the restaurant is non smoking.

Il Mulino is open daily from 10 am, lunch menu is served between 11 am and 3 pm and comprises of two soups and three main courses: pizza, pasta and meat in the affordable price range CZK 105 to 125.
