Prague Halloween KidsPrague offers a wide range of fun activities for kids and Halloween themed events ranging from pumpkin carving workshops to family-friendly shows and special menus. There are many things to do in Prague for kids on Halloween including exhibitions, autumn harvest workshops, theatrical performances and lampion parades.

Even though Czech kids in Prague do not usually dress up as ghosts, witches, zombies and goblins and do not go door-knocking in the hope of sweets, there is one neighborhood in Prague where they like to light up a kid's smile on Halloween. In Nebušice neighborhood children can experience traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating and for the night feel as if they were in the US. Many residents decorate their houses for that occasion and welcome trick-or-treaters from the whole city.

The Prague Botanic Garden in Troja is home to many seasonal exhibitions. Beautiful and illuminated pumpkins of all sizes and colours are traditionally on display from the end of September to the end of October. The activities for children include a pumpkin carving workshop, Halloween parade and nature craft workshop, where kids create objects or gifts from natural materials. Halloween in Troja is annually held on October 31 and features games and creations, sausage grilling and parade of illuminated pumpkins and lanterns.

DDM or “Youth homes” of all Prague districts and international schools, kindergartens and nurseries host numerous Halloween parties and shows. Kids can enjoy making Halloween decorations, carving pumpkins or having their faces painted.
