One of the largest (250 ha) and the most beautiful parks in the Czech republic is located about 10 km from the centre of Prague. A 40 km long network of paths throughout the park allows one to explore many exotic plants and trees, ponds, waterfalls, rocks, vast meadows. It is an ideal place for hiking, biking, jogging and relaxing.

There is a well-known, neo-renaissance Průhonice chateau, which is now the centre of the Botanical institute and the setting of various social events, such as weddings, exhibitions, banquets, conferences.
