The Prague Castle, a significant Czech landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is an impressive complex of palaces, churches and buildings. The Prague Castle, a unique mix of all architectural styles, covers an area of almost 70 000 m2 , making it the largest ancient castle complex in the world (Guinness Book of World records). Its history dates back to the 8th century. Both the Castle Grounds and gardens are open to the visiting public. The ceremony of changing the guard is performed daily in the first courtyard at 12.00.
The complex of Prague castle features Gothic Cathedral of St. Vitus, golden lane with Daliborka Tower, New and Old Royal Palace with Vladislav hall, Romanesque Basilica of St. George, All Saints Church, Holy Cross Chapel, Powder Tower, castle gardens and St. Wenceslas´ vineyard.
