Petřín is an uphill area situated on the left bank of Vltava river, Little quarter. It is said to be a magic place and many locals associate it with love. It attracts many lovers, who choose it for their romantic walks and dates. Petřín is covered with gardens and greenery. Nebozízek garden features a restaurant with beautiful panoramic view and the statue of Czech Romnaticist poet, Karel Hynek Mácha.
The most sought-after spots of the Observation tower garden are the Petřín observation tower (1891), a high steel framework tower , which looks like miniature Eifel tower and the mirror maze (bludiště) is a funny attraction, which uses mirrors to create visual distortions. Rose garden with more than 12.000 rose plants and an observatory is definitely worth visiting.
English-style Kinsky garden invites visitors to take a beautiful stroll among ponds with a waterfall. Seminary garden, located on the eastern slope, offers a breath-taking view, greenery, trees, rocks with little caves or a bronze monument of Jan Neruda, famous Czech writer.
